On April 24, the Manchebo Beach Resort underwent a Best Western quality inspection. Not surprisingly, due to the good efforts made by the dedicated staff, the Manchebo scored in the highest 5% of all 3800 resorts around the world. The inspection encompassed all departments including reservations, front desk, maintenance of rooms, public areas, and the restaurants. Resort executive Rita Van Vollevelde, is especially proud of the housekeeping department which received the highest number of points, 1000, for the cleanliness of guest-rooms. Pictured here are the busy resort room-attendants among them Lucy - she is like a mother to guests, says Rita, she's been working at the Manchebo Beach Resort for 16 years, Anna Marie - a veteran with 17 years of service, Diana - who knows everyone as she's been at the resort for 14 years, Marlene - a supervisor with 15 years experience, Claudette - the most junior of the seniors with 12 years on the job, Evangelina, Ramona, Magali, Maria, Beatrice and houseman Louis. The smiling housekeeping crew keeps 72 rooms in top shape and contribute to the fact that during the winter season the majority of guests are repeats. They come back for the people reports Marlene, they love the gentle care and the kind attention showered by line employees. The secret weapon of the Manchebo Beach Resort are its people, Marlene concludes.
