Individual or weekly sessions are available to challenge your mind and spirit.

The yoga and meditation classes on the beach present a new style where a bridge is created between the traditional Eastern yoga and the times in which we now live. These forms are designed for people’s active minds and lives today, taking you on a transition from a stress-filled lifestyle.

You will use slow movements and postures that are custom designed for our
specific bodies in mind.
During the meditation you’ll be guided to deeper inner peace.

Recommendations for class Participation:
· Do not eat too much before the lesson
· Wear comfortable non-constrictive clothing
· Bring along your beach towel
· Respect your limits, do not force yourself

· Please be on time


Classes run every Thursday from 8:00am – 9:00am

About the teacher:
Ellen Buermans got inspired on her traveling in the period from 1981 to 1984 through Asia.
She took yoga classes when she arrived back in Holland and started after one year her 6 years education to become a yoga teacher.
She developed her own style of yoga inspired through Hatha yoga during the years and organized many courses in Holland for adults and children. After arriving on Aruba in 1999, she continued her development and gave many yoga classes inspired through the people she met on the island. Her keywords are “be connected in total being and live…to reach peace within ourselves…so we all can support the world…to make it a better and healthier place!”

The moment you enter Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa a sense of tranquility and well being embraces you. Our intimate resort is well known for the peace and quietness guests often long for during their holiday. Guests can relax, let loose and liberate themselves from their daily life routine.
Next to our outdoor Caribbean-Balinese Spa we offer our guests an unique opportunity to reconnect to themselves in Aruba.

Together with Prana, a center for Health, Yoga & Training, we make this possible. Every Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. till 9:00 a.m. Ellen, a seasoned yoga practitioner and teacher or one of her Prana colleagues lead a yoga class on our beach surrounded by palm trees.
Originally from Holland, Ellen has lived on Aruba for over 10 years. She first became familiar with yoga while traveling through Asia where she discovered the unique science of re-establishing the connection between the body, mind and soul. Having practiced yoga for over 28 years already, Ellen developed an integrated yoga style where Tibetan, Egypt and Dru yoga come together. Five years ago she opened her own ‘Health & Yoga Training Center Prana’ and it is becoming more and more popular under Aruba’s residents and visitors.

The sessions on the beach at Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa present Hatha Yoga, which entails special breathing techniques and light meditation. The purpose of this class is to balance the body and mind in order to enjoy greater well being.

I recently attended one of Prana’s classes, anxious to experience the science of yoga. We slowly began to stretch our arms, neck and legs and focused on our breathing. After warming up, we started with several standing postures and from that point we proceeded our postures gradually to the ground. When we relaxed into the different postures, we learned to focus on our body, mind, breathing and to feel connected to the ground. I truly experienced staying connected to the present moment and not let my mind analyzing about my work or what my planning will be for the day. When the class finished I needed some time before standing up, because I never experienced such calmness in my body, mind and heart. Prana’s yoga classes at Manchebo Beach Resort are the classes you have always been looking for.
Together with Prana we try to develop more health activities to offer the best service for our guests.
